I spent 34 years at AT&T, MCI, Sprint, and Verizon, leading network engineering, operations, and technology teams through every major cycle from 3G to 5G. I managed multi-million-dollar budgets, deployed nationwide fiber and wireless programs, and introduced AI-driven approaches to network automation before most carriers had a strategy for it.
Today I run AI-Driven Consulting, where I advise enterprises, investment firms, and expert networks on AI adoption and telecom transformation. I also teach. My courses on AI, 5G/6G, cybersecurity, and emerging technology have reached more than 25,000 students across Udemy, Coursera, EC-Council, and LinkedIn Learning.
When I’m not working, I’m flying drones, fishing North Carolina’s freshwater and coastal waters, or in the garden. I wrote a children’s book called The Lonely Doughnut because not every project has to be serious.
